We've been on staff since 1993 and plan on being at Penn State for a long, long time. We love working with college students and helping them understand the gospel. Our favorite side benefit of working with Cru is that our four kids: Benjamin, Silas, Max and Sadie Mei, get to grow up surrounded by godly college students who can model the authentic Christian life. We love students' involvement in our kids lives. Plus they're really cool. We think you'd like them.
We also love to teach and hike and read, and think summer is the best season by far.

Roger enjoys racquetball, Risk, volleyball and is a major Penn State football fan. Roxanne enjoys reading, gardening, scrapbooking and biking. Our favorite date is dinner and a movie. Roger is passionate about studying and speaking on the second coming of Christ and Rox is passionate about Roger! We love college students and especially enjoy being with students when they worship.

Jen Durlin
jen.durlin@uscm.org717.599.6876
Hi! My name is Jen Durlin. I'm a recent Music Education grad of West Chester University (2005). As I was singing my way through the dub-C, God grabbed my heart and asked me to join Him in full-time ministry to college students. I said "yes!" and now have the privilege of being a full-time staff member with Cru. God has brought me to State College to be a part of Cru at Penn State University which of course also includes experiencing, for the first time, the exhilaration of Penn State football and the PSU spirit!! Football season comes at one of my favorite times of the year. I love the outdoors and cannot imagine a better time of year than when the air is crisp and the leaves are turning beautiful hues of red and orange. I also love singing, getting lost in a fiction novel, a good cup of coffee, sweet time with friends and family, and the way the ocean draws me to the Lord.

We're both PSU alumni and have been married since 2005. Andy grew up in Lancaster, PA and Crystal grew up around Dallas, TX. While at Penn State, we studied education (Crystal in art and Andy in math). Andy enjoys the outdoors, playing guitar with people more skilled than he, card games, board games, movies, and a number of sports, some of which are: soccer, football, basketball, snowboarding, and all watersports. Crystal likes everything outdoors as well, art, chocolate, soccer, card games, dominoes, and the great State Fair of Texas. Few things get us more excited than seeing students fall in love with the Lord.

Mark graduated from Penn State in 2005 after transferring from Clemson University, basically because he loves PSU football; some would call it a minor obsession. Kim graduated from the mighty University of Oregon in 2006 (go Ducks!!). We met on Lake Tahoe Summer Project (closest place to Heaven on Earth) and were married on December 10th, 2005. After Kim graduated, we joined staff with Cru because God totally got a hold of our hearts in college and what better job than to tell others about Jesus?!! A few fun facts about us: We love sports, skiing (Mark) & snowboarding (Kim), camping, etc. Mark's favorite time of year is college football season and he also enjoys listening to sermons by Bryan Loritts. Kim loves to run, hike, hang out with great friends and simply be around people. We both love State College and are so excited to be living and working at PSU for however long God has us here!

We met on a summer project in North Africa in 2004. We are both PSU alumni and joined Cru staff in 2006. When we joined, Joanna had already interned under the Bridges ministry for a year. We love Penn State and hope to stick around for a while.
Random things we both like...Settlers of Catan, Harry Potter, Sanctus Real, Brian Regan, School of Rock, and racquetball. We are both avid 24 fans, love The Wheel of Time, and are excited to see the wonderful writers of Lost finish a fantastic show. Tom really enjoys tea (Constant Comment) and studying/teaching God's Word. Joanna really enjoys scrapbooking and making wedding cakes. A great date for us is to read fictional books to each other.

We've been married for 2 years as of April 2008. Our history at Penn State is a bit different. Christy graduated from Miami University (it's in Ohio) in 2000, has been on staff for over 6 years and with the Penn State team since the fall of 2005. Ed graduated from Penn State in 2000 and was in the workforce for over 6 years before he felt God's calling to join staff. So here we are together to do life with you guys and gals while we all walk with Jesus. We love to play games - any really. Some of our favorites are Settlers of Catan, Boggle, Catch Phrase, and anything else competitive. We are passionate about seeing God change people's lives and are so excited to be here with you.

I graduated from Penn State in May 08 with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science. I couldn't imagine leaving Happy Valley, so I decided to stick around for another year and intern with Cru! I grew up in Wayne, New Jersey with my father, mother and two younger brothers. Some of my favorite things include: Broadway, the New York Yankees, Penn State football, thunderstorms, watching my brother play bass in the Cru worship band, Pokey Sticks, watching YouTube videos, Cape Cod, anything that has to do with Disney, and Diet Dr. Pepper. I am so excited to be working with college students and teaching them about Jesus!
